- Garden Creamery ($$): kaya, assam ginger, and genmaicha ice cream
- U :Dessert Story ($$-$$$): best honey toast and bingsu in SF (but way overpriced)
- 20th century cafe ($$): Russian honey cake ❤️
- Marco Polo Italian Ice Cream ($$): durian and black sesame ice cream ❤️
Restaurants
- A Taste of Africa (Berkeley Flea Market) ($): popular tent serving inexpensive Cameroonian food
- Hakka Restaurant ($$): catfish and bitter melon clay pot, stuffed chicken with sticky rice.
- Kin Khao ($$$): pricey 1 Michelin star Thai food. Caramelized pork belly.
- Likha ($$): Filipino pop-up in a sports bar. Rockfish sisig, brunch breads.
- Mensho Tokyo ($$): long waits for pricey but good ramen. Indulgently rich paitan broth.
- Nyum Bai ($$): amok (dinner only)
- Reem’s ($$): Pali Cali sumac chicken wrap
- The Taco Panzon ($): carnitas and al pastor tacos
- Tselogs ($): arroz caldo
- Swan Oyster Depot ($$): no-frills seafood with a very long wait. Get the crab back and the scallops. ❤️
- Vientian Cafe ($-$$): nam kao (crispy rice ball salad), sai ooa (Lao sausage) ❤️
- Wojia Hunan Cuisine ($$): fried glutinous rice ball, most things in the “sizzling pots” and “impressive dishes” sections of the menu ❤️
